View all Borrowing & Lending Policies
- Create an Interlibrary Loan account by logging in on this page with your WyoWeb username and password. If you have difficulties contact us at elsreq@uwyo.edu or call (307) 766-5168.
- UW students, faculty, and staff can request books, DVDs, CDs, dissertations, microforms, and other material held by lenders worldwide. In addition to physical materials, you can also request scans of articles and book chapters.
- ILL services are offered free of charge to UW students and employees. We cover the cost of borrowing and shipping materials.
- The patron is responsible for the borrowed material once it is checked out to them. If you have lost or damaged your ILL material, please contact us right away. Lending libraries set their own individual policies for lost or damaged ILLs. Some may accept replacements. In certain cases, you may receive a bill for lost or damaged items.
- Click the Interlibrary Loan icon wherever you see it: Citation Finder, article databases, Library Catalog or the Libraries' home page.
- Complete the request and submit.
- Available UW materials will be pulled and ready for pickup within 36 hours, Monday through Friday. If the material is not available at UW, the request will be forwarded to other libraries. Response time is usually but not always 2 weeks or less.
- You will be notified by text and/or email when your request is ready to be picked up.
- Pick-up locations can be selected when your Interlibrary Loan account is created: Coe Library, Brinkerhoff Geology Library, Learning Resource Center (LRC) or the Law Library.
